"Neither did I." Dean said and scratched the back of his neck. "Granted, I didn't think I'd find anything anywhere."

"Well, America is good for one thing," Kauri smiled, leaning to brush a kiss to Dean's cheek.

"Our godlike features?" Dean said and winked.

"Someone's godlike features, certainly," Kauri murmured.

Dean grinned. "Very smooth." he said.

Kauri chuckled softly.

Conway walked inside and set his bag down on an unclaimed cot.

Dean heard someone walk in and blushed slightly.

Kauri chuckled softly, reaching for Dean's hand.

Dean linked their fingers and smiled.

Kauri smiled, squeezing his hand softly.

Dena smiled.

Kauri smiled back, and moved to press their lips together again chastely. "You're addictive," he murmured.

"I know." Dean said with a smirk.

Kauri pushed his chest lightly, then paused. "What if we're put into separate cohorts?" he murmured.

"I'll come visit you." Dean said with a smile.

"Promise?" Kauri murmured softly.

Conway finished unpacking and went to go see if he could go find a place to get first aid supplies.

"I promise." Dean said softly and once the guy had left, he leaned in and kissed Kauri passionately.

Kauri let out a sound of surprise but kissed back just as fervently. "When will you find out which cohort you're in?" he murmured once they'd pulled apart.

"The next few days. You?" Dean asked.

"I already know," Kauri murmured. "First. I hope you are too."

Dean smiled slightly. "You'll do good there." he said.

Kauri smiled softly, and leaned in to kiss him. "You know where to find me."

Dean nodded and kissed back. He tried to hide the look of sadness on his face.
