Entrance to the Camp

"Halt." Callie ordered.

Conway continued to walk through the tunnel until he saw two others.

"Halt?" Luke laughed. "No way, lady. You're nuts too. I'll see you, or rather I won't, ever again."

"Alright. Force it is." Callie said and took a few quick steps towards the guy before grabbing the back of his shirt and yanking him backwards. "Listen up, twerp. You are not going anywhere. You're going to sit down and shut your cakehole." Callie stood over him. "Welcome to Camp Jupiter. The place where demigods, that's children of god and mortal, live. Specifically, Roman gods. No, not Zeus, Jupiter. Not Hades, Pluto. Not Poseidon, Neptune." she explained. "You think I'm crazy? Fine. But let me ask you this, have you ever felt out of place? Like, something was a little off about you? Well, it's cause you're a demigod. Don't believe me still? I have no problem taking you to the temples to introduce you to Jupiter himself."

Luke wriggled in her grip. "Let me go, you crazy lady! I'm not letting you take me anywhere, I'm going home, away from all the freaking crazies in this place!"

"You don't have a home!" Callie shouted. "You go out there, you die. You want to die?" She grabbed his face and made him look at her. "Listen to me. You. Are. Home. This is the safest place for you to be. I'm not even going to get into the millions of reasons why you should stay here based of your wet clothes!"

"I have a home!" Luke yelled back, barely holding in his tears. "I have a mom, and friends, and good grades, so why don't you let me the hell alone?!" And yet he didn't struggle. Where was his mom? If that monster had been real, he didn't think she was alive any more.

"Where's your mom then, hmm? You look like you've been through hell and back so where's your mom?" Callie asked.

Luke shoved at her, then, with a desperate yell that betrayed his desperation, and the winds moved with him, slamming into Callie as a lightning storm began to brew overhead.

Callie feel back with a groan and breathed a bit before getting up. "If that isn't proof, I don't know what is." she muttered and got. "That the best you got blondie?" She stood up straight and taunted him a bit.

Luke stumbled back. "I don't - What-" he shook his head desperately.

"Come on, do it again!" Callie shouted. "Mommy's not here to protect you!"

"Shut up about my mother!" Luke yelled, tears flowing from his eyes as he clutched at his head. The storm overhead crackled dangerously, thunder rumbling across the dark clouds.

Callie glanced up. "If you don't believe me yet, look up." Callie shouted.

Luke looked up and shook his head. "You're just like the other guy, the nutter in the alley," he shouted back. He turned his back on Callie and ran for the tunnel, determined to get as far away from here as he could.

Callie rolled her eyes. "Dad. Help me." she said and ran forward, feeling a bit of a boost and then she jumped at him, hoping to tackle him.

Luke went sprawling with a yell, coming to rest at the feet of a figure dressed entirely in black, hood covering his face. "Come on, kid, up you get," came a voice, and he knelt to help Luke up. He sighed as he was shoved away, and jammed two fingers into a pressure point, lifting him up when the kid fell limp and slung him over his shoulder. "You got a medical wing? He'll catch hypothermia."

Callie nodded. She picked Luke up, fireman style. "You new here?" she asked.

"Of a sort," he replied, glancing up as the sky cleared. "Let's go before he dies."

Callie carried Luke all the way.

Conway made his way through the tunnel and looked to see if anyone was around.

Sofie smiled as a guy walked up. "Hi! I'm Sofie. Are you new?" she asked.

"That I am, love" He said "Conway Evans."

"Sofie Berry." she said and reached out a hand for him to shake.

"Its a pleasure to meet you" He said as he shook her hand.
