Personality: Balthazar is a bit of a wildcard. He's the one brother that's most like Gabriel apart from the complete wildcard of their second oldest brother, Lucifer, but he's also not the same as he once was. He's grown bitter with experience, and while he once thought his power was a gift, when channelling anger and upset from one brother to the next, he has now realised he was likely the catalyst that started all of the arguments, trying to stop them before they even started and then starting them in the first place. He's grown a lot more world-wise in his years away, and is certainly not the child he once was, not the frightened, angry teenager who faked his own death to escape it all. He hopes to keep his identity secret but he knows it won't be long before he's recognised, even though it has been years since anyone from New Rome has seen him.

Backstory: Balthazar was a child of a one night stand who was left on the doorstep of a woman who would look after him and be his adoptive mother. He grew up in New Rome with many older and younger brothers, all demigods, all adopted, most who he liked but who didn't tend to like him. It was a pretty positive environment, until the eldest brother turned 18, then within a few days their adoptive mother disappeared without a trace. This left the youngest children in the hands of their elder siblings, which naturally caused a power struggle between the eldest of the brothers. Balthazar tried to help as much as he could, but the endless fighting and civil war grew too much and with the help of more than a few shady sources from outside New Rome, he faked his death and ran away so they wouldn't come looking for him. That was when he was 13, and he lived quite well with stolen credit cards and people's wallets, but then the monsters started to get interested, so he moved. He moved and he moved, but each time they found him, and he was eventually forced to Camp Jupiter. No-one knows he is still alive, and he is scared.
